Project Updates:
- October 20, 2025 - The DPWBC and Arrowstreet Consultants provided a presentation to the Select Board that focused on final recommendations from DPWBC and a presentation developed by Arrowstreet Consultants. - October 15, 2025 - The DPWBC held a meeting at Town Hall in Room 9 to review the recommendations from ArrowStreet and vote on a preferred option. During that meeting, the DPWBC voted to recommend option 4B to the Select Board. To view the PDF of different proposed options, please click HERE.
- October 14, 2025 - Arrowstreet Consultants provided a presentation to the Finance Committee outlining their findings and final recommendations. Finance Committee members discussed the different options identified by Arrowstreet and provided feedback. View the October 14, 2025 meeting.
- September 24, 2025 - The DPWBC hosted a public meeting at 7pm. Arrowstreet Consultants provided an update on the results of their peer review, discussed findings and outlined final recommendations. To view a PDF of the presentation, please click HERE. View the September 24, 2025 meeting.
- July 24, 2025 - The DPWBC hosted a public meeting to receive an update from Arrowstreet Consultants. Arrowstreet provided a presentation outlining current conditions and their findings, and included a few possible scenarios for reuse of the building. View the July 24, 2025 meeting.
- July, 2025 - The Town procured the services of Arrowstreet Consultants to review design efforts to date and provide an analysis of the building and proposed designs. Arrowstreet will also develop recommendations on how to proceed with the project.
- April 28, 2025 - The DPWBC held a public forum with a brief presentation from design team and questions from the public during the Select Board meeting. View the April 28, 2025 meeting.
- April 7, 2025 - The Select Board reviewed the updated cost estimate voted to unanimously recommend this project to Town Meeting.
- April 2, 2025 – The DPWBC hosted a public meeting to review recently received 40% design cost estimates provided by Weston & Sampson and PMA Associates. These updated estimates resulted in a total project cost of $37,995,690 and a new borrowing request of $35,220,690 that will be placed on the Town Meeting Warrant. - February 12, 2025 - The DPWBC will hosted a public meeting to continue reviews of design progress, discuss updates to cost estimates, and continue review of building systems. Weston & Sampson provided a presentation that included reductions to the overall square footage of the building, which is below. View the February 12, 2025 meeting.
- January 29, 2025 - The DPWBC held a public meeting to continue reviews of cost estimates, design updates, and discuss additional value engineering options. Additionally, energy modeling statistics were provided that highlighted savings associated with green energy HVAC systems.
- January 25, 2025 - The DPWBC and DPW hosted an open house at the DPW Building, 14 Forest Road, from 10am -12pm. To learn more, please click HERE
- December 12, 2024 - The DPWBC held a public meeting to review updated cost estimates, project updates, and value engineering efforts. The Committee agreed to proposed reductions, resulting in a nearly $4M decrease of the estimated project cost. The new project estimate is $43M, with additional possible reductions currently under review and up for discussion during the next DPWBC meeting. View the Dec 12th Meeting Recording
- November 7, 2024 - The DPWBC held a public meeting to review the cost estimates and schematic design. Members of the community provided feedback on costs and Forest Rd safety concerns. View the Nov.7th Meeting Recording
- October 8, 2024 - The Finance Committee discussed the project at its meeting with Town staff.
- September 26, 2024 -The DPWBC, Town Manager and Town's design engineering firm, Weston & Sampson gave a presentation focused on design progress, needs for replacement, and work completed to date. View the September 26th Meeting Recording
- July 2, 2024 - the Select Board voted to set a goal to bring the DPW facility project to Town Meeting in May of 2025 and seek approval to move the project forward
- May 5, 2024 - Annual Town Meeting voters approved funding to construct a new and relocated fuel depot on the DPW facility site View the Town Meeting Preview Presentation
- July 10, 2023 - Select Board established a Public Works Facility Building Committee
- May 1, 2023 - Annual Town Meeting voters approved Article 6 funding $1.225M for design of new facility on the existing location. View the presentation and debate at Town Meeting or view the Town Meeting Preview Presentation
