As ICE arrests have surged, Acton’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission wants community members to know about these important resources:
- Attorney General Andrea Campbell released the following “Know Your Rights” guide: https://www.mass.gov/doc/ago-ice-guidance-05292025/download
- ACLU Massachusetts has various “know your rights” information, including immigrants, general guidance for demonstrations and protests, if you are questioned by the FBI or police, photographing or recording the police, student searches and investigations, and discrimination against Muslims.
- MIRA (Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition) Know Your Rights offers resources for immigrants, advocates, service providers, and allies.
- If you see ICE, you can call the LUCE hotline at 617-370-5023. LUCE verifies ICE sightings, supports people in exercising their rights and shares verified information to protect the community.
