This 40-acre park was opened in 1999 and is central to Acton's recreational events. Originally named North Acton Recreation Area, it was renamed in 2012 in honor of Acton's only Medal of Honor recipient from the Civil War.

With a swimming pond, sports pavilion, amphitheater, bathrooms, seasonal snack bar, playground, and walking trails, there really is something for everyone. NARA Park also boasts Miracle Field, a baseball field for kids and adults of all abilities, and the only one of its kind in Massachusetts.

NARA Park hosts an annual Independence Day celebration with family activities, musical performances, and fireworks. More than 500,000 people flock to this event every year.

The Amphitheater is the home of the exciting Summer Concert Series featuring numerous national touring performers and local favorites from a broad range of genres. Everyone is sure to find something they will enjoy! Please view the Concerts and Special Events link on the left-hand side of this page for more details.

The park is open year-round from dawn to dusk and staffed seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through late August.
