The Acton Recreation Department organizes and provides recreational activities, programs, and manages facilities for the community. This includes planning and implementing a diverse range of programs such as sports, fitness classes, cultural events, and youth programs, while also managing and maintaining public parks and other recreational facilities. We coordinate special events and community celebrations, engage with the community, and prioritize inclusivity and accessibility in our offerings. We play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by providing opportunities for physical activity, social interaction, skill development, and cultural enrichment.

For assistance, please e-mail recreation@actonma.gov or call 978.929.6640. Registration forms or payments may be dropped off at the 24/7 drop-box located at the Recreation Center, 50 Audubon Drive.

All parks are open from dawn to dusk. Please do not use recreation properties after dark without an approved permit.

WEATHER NOTICE FOR TOWN OF ACTON CONCERTS/SPECIAL EVENTS AT NARA PARK:

If an event is canceled due to weather conditions, we strive to ensure that this information is promptly communicated. Notifications are posted on the Town Website, sent to ticket holders who purchased through the Eventbrite platform, displayed on highway message boards, and shared on the Acton Recreation Facebook page as well as the Acton Recreation website.

Decisions for cancelations for forecasted weather are made by 3 p.m. on the day of the event, unless something happens unexpectedly that would cause such a last minute change like a pop-up severe storm.
