SHINE Program
Serving Health Information Needs of Elders (SHINE) provides free health insurance counseling and assistance for Medicare beneficiaries for all ages. The also provide help in understanding medical programs and filing information.

Minuteman Senior Care provides numerous services for veterans.
Home Care
Individuals who want to remain in their own home but need assistance with activities of daily living may find that the Minuteman Home Care Program may meet their needs. The Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs is the primary funding source for these programs. Co-payments for services are based on a sliding fee scale.
Home Care Services
A comprehensive in-home assessment is conducted by a case manager who, in conjunction with a nurse, determines program eligibility. The case, client, and family caregivers develop a care plan which is reassessed on a regular basis. Services are delivered through Minuteman's extensive network of subcontracted provider agencies. The care plan may include one or more of the following services within budgetary restrictions:

- Chore Service
- Companion
- Dementia Day Program
- Grocery Shopping
- Home Based Wandering Response System
- Meals on Wheels
- Home Health Services
- Housekeeping
- Laundry Services
- Meal Preparation
- Medication Dispensing System
- Personal Care
- Personal Emergency Response System
- Social Day Care
- Transportation
- Vision Habilitation
- Memory Disorder Assessments
- Home Modification
- Age: 60 years or older
- Finances: meet the guidelines as set by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs
- Need: require assistance with a number of activities of daily living, even if other supports offer partial assistance.
