Acton’s public transportation services are managed by Cross-Town Connect, a multi-town transportation collaborative. You can call CrossTown Connect dispatch at 978-844-6809 weekdays any time between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM about any of the programs listed below.

Cross-Acton Transit (CAT)

The Cross-Acton Transit (CAT) connects housing complexes within the town to the business centers in Kelley’s Corner and along Great Road. There are also stops at the Town Hall and South Acton Commuter Rail Station. View the CAT schedule below (click to download).

Renting Shuttle Services

Shuttling services can be rented through the Town. Due to the transportation department’s limited funding, the Town cannot provide free shuttling. Hiring shuttles can help support your business’ events by providing better access for those with mobility issues, increasing event safety, reducing your event’s overall carbon footprint, and easing parking concerns. There are two options:

Option 1:

Rate: $150 per hour with a 4 hour minimum rental period. 

A credentialed driver will be provided for you, The shuttle fits 20 people, There is a $10 per hour discount for nonprofit organizations. 

Option 2:

Rate: $70 per hour with a  2 hour minimum rental period

A credentialed driver will be provided for you, The shuttle fits 12, It is unavailable Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, There is a $10 per hour discount for nonprofit organizations. 

Please book a minimum of 4 weeks in advance. The form can be submitted electronically or can be dropped off in the Town Manager's Office.

Title VI Rights and Protections for Town of Acton Transportation

The Town of Acton follows the Title VI rights & protections as laid out by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) as follows:

Anyone who believes that the Town of Acton (Acton) or its third-party vendors have failed to comply with any of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations listed below is eligible to file a complaint. Complaints should be filed within 180 days of the date of the alleged non-compliance. Acton will address any complaints you might have, including but not limited to:

  1. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): this prohibits discrimination on the basis of a disability;
  2. Title VI: this prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin.

Steps to File a Formal Complaint:
 
If you have an ADA complaint download the “ADA & Title VI Complaint Procedure by clicking “add link for attachment”.
 
Print or Download the Discrimination Complaint Form: Obtain the form by clicking https://shorturl.at/vPsfx or contact the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at (978) 929-6611 or transportation@actonma.gov for additional formats.
 
Submit the Complaint Form: Once you have filled out the complaint form, submit it through one of the following methods:
