Acton Police Department achieved State Certification

Chief Richard Burrows is pleased to announce that the Acton Police Department achieved State Certification from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission (MPAC) on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

The department was recognized for its achievement during an awards ceremony at The Connors Center in Dover on Tuesday.

New Parking Rates - Effective August 1

On Monday, July 15, the Board of Selectmen voted to increase the cost of Acton resident stickers, commuter lot parking meters and reserved parking.

The decision followed a discussion at Monday's selectmen's meeting on the South Acton Train Station Advisory Committee's (SATSAC) recommendations and the Nelson Nygaards Commuter Rail Parking Study regarding the town's parking program.
