Responsibilities and Services
The Accounting office is responsible for:
Safeguarding the financial assets of the Town through the use of sound professional accounting practices and internal controls
Ensuring that the financial integrity of the Town is preserved and protected
Providing the Town's management with accurate and timely financial information
Services include, but are not limited to:
Recording and monitoring the annual operation and capital budget
Maintaining a comprehensive, detailed general ledger of all Town financial activity
Processing payments for all Town invoices and preparing the bill warrant
Coordinating the external audit and preparing the Town's annual financial statements
